Located in the leafy suburb of Camberwell, Martin Rise is a new luxury residential property designed in collaboration with developer Progressio Developments.
Splinter Society’s architectural response is a series of modern asymmetrical rooflines as a contemporary reference to the heritage homes in the neighbourhood. Similarly, the materiality of sculpted brick, timber and concrete is a modern yet crafted connection with the area.
“This collection of residences has been designed to capture the essence of Camberwell’s most stately brick residences, and combine it with a modern elegance and sophistication to match the best of Melbourne’s contemporary design”. – Chris Stanley
The design uses a series of volumes to give the feeling of individuality in the differing homes as well as to allow the light to permeate the spaces and create a play of light throughout. The entry to the project is through a grand canopy with a modern architectural aesthetic creating a sense of arrival for residents.
The external areas are finessed with an attention to detail designed by the landscape architect John Patrick, softening the volumes and extending outdoor areas for individual homes.
Timeless and intriguing, the interiors are custom-designed to integrate all aspects of luxury living including a feature marble through the living spaces. The properties offer an array of layouts, materials, and amenities. Additional communal amenities include a bespoke entertaining room, temperature-controlled wine storage and sauna.
